RICA News Forum Highlights - September 2008 3 new members were welcomed A recent Network Rail Safety Forum discussed Worksafe Initiatives and RICA members were reminded of the need to provide evidence of repeated bad practise or safety concerns for use by ORR or CIRAS as well as Network Rail. The members contributed to a review of Business Plan subjects for the next 12 months Presentations were made by;- Graham Fry – ISLG Deputy Chairman who described its role and overlap with RICA. Tony Saunders – Network Rail Senior Sourcing Manager dealt with the forthcoming contingent labour tenders and opportunities for members and the parameters for evaluation of tender submissions.  Stuart Norfolk – Head of Assurance and Account Manager – Network Rail outlined the Link Up V2 governance and the role of special interest groups (SIG’s) and the role of buyers and suppliers.  There was also debate regarding the effectiveness of Link Up and duplicate Contractor Audits. The next Forum will be on Thursday 11th December 2008 at Stonebridge Park.
